「○○はあの人の口癖だよね。」なんてよく言ったりしますが、英語で口癖って何て言うんでしょうか？

例文はどれも単語一つになっちゃいましたが、使い方は ”his/her" をつけて “○○の癖” という表現にします。最初の単語はまさに “癖” 、“習慣” という意味ですのでこのまま “his habit” と使えます。二個目は “favorite” （ “お気に入りの” ) という単語ですから、“favorite way of talking” （お気に入りの話し方） とか、“favorite speech” （お気に入りの言い方） と使えるでしょう。一つ目の単語、“habit” を使う時との違いは、その人の言い方や癖を尊重している、別に軽蔑したり馬鹿にしているわけではない、またその癖に嫌悪感を感じているわけではない、というニュアンスが含まれます。三個目、“style” というとこれはカタカナでも使われている単語ですが、“彼のスタイル” 、ちょっとカッコいい言い方になるかもしれません。従ってこれは二個目の例よりはるかに相手のその癖に対して尊重、尊敬、またはできることなら真似すらしたい、かっこいい彼・彼女ならではの言い方、というニュアンスを含めることができるかもしれませんね。一方、決まった言葉や句、同じ単語をよく使うという意味であれば “favorite phrase” とも言えますが、いずれ一般的に使われている “口癖” という熟語的な表現は英語に無いようです。
