- The news forecast a typhoon, but it appears to have strayed away.

- TheThe news said a typhoon was coming, but it seems to have changed its path.
- It said on the news that a typhoon was coming, but it looks like it has changed its path.
- The weather forecast a typhoon would come, but it didn't hit us.
①The news said (that) / a typhoon was coming. ② It said on the news that / a typhoon was coming. ③ The weather forecast (that) / a typhoon would come.「was」は「is」の過去で、「would」は「will」の過去です。元々、「台風が来る」や「台風が来ている」の時は「a typhoon will come」とか「a typhoon is coming」を使います。 「〜みたいです」は「seem to」や「look like」です。「台風がそれたみたいです」は「it seems to have changed its path」や「it looks like it has changed its path」です。他の言い方で「it didn't hit us」も使えます。
